Realms of Wonder

In Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, a young girl named Clara goes to a holiday party and finds the key to a priceless treasure. She loses the key when she is transported to another realm. There, she meets a soldier named Phillip. They set off to find the key. Their journey takes them through three realms: the Land of Snowflakes, the Land of Flowers, and the Land of Sweets. But it soon becomes clear that if Clara and Philip are to complete their quest, they must enter the frightening Fourth Realm, home to the villain Mother Ginger.

MACKENZIE FOY (pictured, left) plays Clara. “I’m excited for people to explore the realms,” she told TIME for Kids. She hopes that after seeing the film, which opens November 2, viewers feel motivated to achieve their goals. “At the heart of this film,” Mackenzie says, “is the idea that you can do anything, as long as you believe you are enough.”
