Can you tell when someone is lying? Pants on Fire is a new podcast game show by Gen-Z Media that puts listeners’ truth-detecting skills to the test. In each episode, kid contestants are asked to decide which of two “experts” is telling the truth and which is a bold-faced liar. Guests have included experts on chimpanzees, cooking, and bears. The show also features a wacky robot named L.I.S.A. and tons of humor.
Deborah Goldstein hosts the show. She told TFK that parents and kids can listen to Pants on Fire together to practice determining what is the truth. “Nowadays, we have to be discerning when we listen to the news,” Goldstein says. “We want to help kids understand that they can’t always believe what they hear in the media, while also having fun.”
